STEVE THOMAS A Sydney-boy born and bred, Steve grew up honing his surfing skills in the beautiful Northern Beaches. Prior to becoming a guide, he worked in finance, building and marketing. In Tourism though, he found his true calling, with a mind that can travel from history to art, wildlife and politics at a beat, and a knack for drawing out the passion in every tour.
CHRIS MACLEOD A former restaurateur and river guide from beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Chris combines studying for his MBA with his passion for guiding in his adopted Harbour-city. He began guiding professionally in 1987 and has guided and travelled in over 30 countries. Erudite and inquisitive, he brings a love of adventure and passion for eco travel…
CLIFF HOBDEN Running around the bush as a kid, Cliff was the kind of boy who would delight his Mum with a pet snake, kept under the bed! Such curiosity has served him well, as his passion for wildlife is obvious, and has taken him around the world. With a History Degree and background in Police Forensics, Cliff is a charming and fascinating travel companion.
RAY ANDREWS As a kid, Ray was convinced that would be the one to re-discover the extinct Tasmanian Tiger. This passion for nature and wildlife has been nurtured through decades of study, exploration and curiosity, making him the exceptional guide that he is. Ray predominantly guides our tours in the Sunshine Coast, when not leading journeys in Papua New Guinea.
JAMES ANDERSON A classic sports-loving Aussie with a love of any non-fiction reading he can get his hands on, James has an easy, laid-back charm given a power-boost by his extensive knowledge, and love, of Sydney. Growing up in one of Sydney’s quintessential beach ‘burbs – James has travelled in over 50 countries, and his Brazilian wife keeps him worldly (and on his toes!)
BEN BARRY After a childhood surrounded by sheep, cattle and fruit farms to the west of Sydney, Ben got his Communications Degree then worked in radio, as a cameraman, and a writer. He then travelled extensively, including work in England, Scotland, Turkey and Canada. Ben reckons he has many interests, including sport, live music, theatre and enjoying Sydney’s great bars, cafes & restaurants – all set to change, with the addition of a newborn daughter to his family!
STEVE NOMCHONG Growing up in country Australia, Steve chased yabbies in local creeks before earning his Degree in Science. It’s his love of travel and natural history that’s driven his adult life though, taking him to every continent bar Antarctica, including a 10 year background owning and operating his own whitewater-rafting & kayaking business in Ecuador. Fluent in English and Spanish, Steve is obviously a great guide for our Spanish-speaking clients as well.
SARSHA SHERRIFF A city girl with an affinity for the country, Sarsha’s curiosity and love for travel has taken her around the world. A stint in the Canadian Rockies led to an unexpected 7 year adventure around the world, before heading back home to work in a Barossa winery, and then guiding throughout Australia.
NADINE ZELLERHOFF At the core of our business, is this wonderful woman! Nadine runs our Sydney office, and is the first point of contact when planning a trip. German-born, there’s little that this girl doesn’t know about her adopted city of Sydney, and all there is to do around it. She’ll work with you to design the perfect tour, making suggestions that will bring out the best in every day.
